Marriage and Family Life Event

Saturday 11/02/2012
from
13:30 to 17:00
Location
London

Famiilias ( the Association for Catholic Diocesan Marriage and Family Life Ministry) are marking the 30th anniversary of Pope John Paul II’s Encyclical “Familiaris Consortio” on Saturday February 11th.

The venue for this celebration is the Amigo Hall next to the RC Archdiocese of Southwark’s St George’s Cathedral, Lambeth Rd, London SE1 7HY (very close to the Imperial War Museum, nearest underground Lambeth North or Elephant & Castle, or 15 min. walk from Waterloo Station)

There will be a keynote speaker from the Pontifical Council for the Family in Rome, in addition to a series of workshops and DVDs on aspects of marriage and family life, including spirituality and catechesis, which participants can choose from. The event will be of value to people working in the field of education, as well as catechists in parishes, clergy and religious, and anyone else with a pastoral interest in couples and families.

There will be refreshments at 1:30pm for a 2pm start, finishing at 5pm.

Tea and coffee will be served at that time, with an opportunity for further discussion in the Amigo Hall and finish with the Vigil Mass at 6pm in the Cathedral next door.

There can be no better way to celebrate Marriage this week than attending a conference based on Blessed John Paul’s :
