A new venture for our amazing parish started in the Spring this year. The MARY GARDEN. I was so excited when it was announced. Our Lady’s statue is situated on the side of the church which faces the main road. Although there is place for fresh flowers in front of the shrine, they soon wither and die. So, the thought of garden devoted to Our Lady was most appealing as it will be ongoing and constantly changing.
The cherry on the cake for me is that all the plants in the newly laid garden have been linked with Our Lady. I thought of sharing photos of these here at 1catholicsalmon. Perhaps new Mary Gardens will sprout as a result? Although our garden has only just been created, the flowers are just magnificent, honouring Our Lady as they share their colours.
