I was unaware that Catholic dogma was in conflict with serving the marginalized.

    • Hi Mary, in no way is the Catholic dogma in conflict with serving the poor. In fact it is precisely what Catholic social teaching is all about. Pope Francis is living the Catholic Faith literally….as no other pontiff has done before. He has broken with the pomp and ceremony with regard to the traditions at the Vatican, and he is showing the world what it is to live a Catholic life. This happens every minute of every day in every part of the world through the selfless work of dedicated Catholic Christians , it’s just never been put on the world stage before in the way that Papa Francesco is demonstrating.
